An Overview of Renz Comb Binding Machines
An Overview of Renz Comb Binding Machines
With the binding machine market dominated by such giants as GBC and Fellowes, some of the other great manufacturers don't receive as much attention. One of them is Renz, a company that's based in Germany. Renz makes machines for a few different document finishing methods including plastic comb and twin-loop wire. They're all great devices but in this article, we're going to focus on the comb binders. Here were go....
The Combinette is Renz's smallest comb binding machine but it's still pretty powerful. This device can punch 25 sheets at once and bind books containing up to 500 pages. It's so strong you'll be able to can bind as many as 250 books in an hour. The Combinette is an all-metal unit, so it's very durable.
Next up is the Combi S, an all-metal machine that is exceptionally durable. This machine comes with disengageable dies so you can punch and bind books that are up to 14" long. The Combi S has the same punching capacity as the Combinette so you can stay productive when using it. Also, it has an adjustable depth of punch control so your documents will be securely bound.
If you would prefer to use an electric device, the Combi Comfort would be a great choice. This is a basic electric comb binder that's really easy to use, even for beginners. You can bind documents of different sizes with this device and punch up to 20 sheets at a time. The Combi Comfort can be used with A4 paper and combs that have 24 rings.
A more powerful electric comb binding machine is the Combi E. This device has a better punching capacity than the Combi Comfort (25 sheets as opposed to 20) and it's been designed for frequent use. (It can produce up to 300 books in an hour.) The Combi E comes with a foot pedal so you can use your hands to control the flow of your documents.
If you have a modular binding punch or if you want to use pre-punched paper, the PBS 340 is what you need. This device is simply a comb opener. It will open the combs so you can force the teeth through the holes in your document. The PBS 340 is large enough to accommodate legal-sized documents. This opener is made entirely out of metal, so you're going to be impressed by its durability. It's compatible with the Renz DTP 340M, a modular punch.
These are the comb binding devices that are currently available from Renz. They're very similar, especially since they're all well-made and made out of high-quality materials. With the exception of the PBS 340, all of these machines have excellent punching capacities so you'll be able to get your work done quickly no matter if you're using a manual or electric device. The PBS 340 is also a great product, especially if you don't need a punch. Renz comb binding machines deserve more recognition than they get, so check them out today.
