An Unexpected Encounter On a Dating Professional Site
Man, talk about having the roughest time finding a good man these days! When you are a busy dating professional you know what I'm talking about. There are so many people that are either super busy with work/business matters, or just do not have the time of day to date. This seems to be the way of things these days though. This is why I turned to online dating to find someone.
I did all my research ahead of time and found out that the best dating sites were those I had already chosen to begin with. I found my boyfriend, Carl on the second site for dating professionals I joined. It turned out that he was busier than I could ever imagine. He had his parents living with him due to the fact that they needed around-the-clock care and owns the business that he mentioned in his profile. These two things did not leave him with much free time to himself. He was pretty much a little whirlwind on wheels as well. He was also so organized that it made me look twice. I thought I had it all together but boy, was I wrong there!
He and I talked on the phone after I posted the comment "I'm definitely interested" on his profile and gave him my private e-mail address and telephone number in a private e-mail. He called me that night and we talked for hours. We found out that we had so much in common that we ended up laughing about it later. We arranged to meet at a local restaurant for lunch the next day. We never thought about discussing who would pay for the meal. Both of us were so used to paying our own way that we laughed about that too afterwards. We agreed to split the check and set up another date three days later.
Carl called me about an hour before we were going to see a new play and said that he needed to cancel the date. I asked why and he told me his Dad had just passed away from a massive Heart Attack. I simply told Carl I'd come to him and we'll tend to this together. He told me that he could handle this himself.
I went to his house anyway and found her falling apart trying to find her Dad's papers and make the arrangements. It was there and then we grew closer to each other. After two years, he got down on one knee with a ring in his hand and asked me to Marry him.
