We all have something that we hide from others

In return, he therefore is obliged to remain silent about all he hears in the confession ward. You don't have to believe in Christianity to recognize that this system of getting rid of what makes your heart weary can work outside the church as well.

But outside the church, nobody is obliged to remain silent about all he hears, you might say correctly. It's true, what we tell our friends, teachers or superiors at work might fall back on us some day. Outside the confession ward, we do not always find the nonjudgmental atmosphere of support and understanding we wish for. Anonymous confessions are a way around this problem of our modern times in which secrecy and privacy are so easily pervaded. By confessing anonymously, on the internet for example, you can get rid of the nagging guilt inside your heart and still save your own face.

In internet forums or on confession pages you will find the kind of moral support that you wish for. You will notice that without dozens of untold sins to weight on your heart, your life will feel lighter and happier. When you are unsure how to make right what you did wrong in the past, you can ask others who might have been in the same situation before. And you can finally stop thinking about all the stuff that you did but shouldn't have done. With a lighter heart, you will have a lighter life.
