Anti-aging Skin Care Advice With 4 Tips For Looking Younger From Dr Barry Lycka

More anti-aging skin care tips for you from cosmetic dermatologist Dr Barry Lycka

- practical skin care advice to help you look better as you live longer.

Here are the four things you need to know in order to really help your skin.

Number One:

Get a yearly skin examination from a dermatologist.

Why? As we always say, your skin is indeed the mirror to your soul. It is also the barrier which protects you from your environment. So, get it checked out! Your skin is a vital organ, protecting your body. Protect your skin from cancer, rashes and other conditions by protecting it from your environment.

Number Two:

Drink plenty of water everyday. Why? It really does help to wash away impurities in your body, and that in turn helps improve your skin. How Much Water? Well, you can actually drink too much water - if you drink over 12 glasses a day you can become waterlogged. However, we find that 6 to 8 glasses a day is about the right amount for most people. If you exercise you should increase that amount by at least 2 glasses. A glass should contain 250ml.

Number Three:

Take care with what you eat. Why? As you get older, you need to take more care about what you take into your body as it directly affects your skin. Your diet is very important and it greatly contributes to the wellness of your skin. So what should we eat ? Well, I think we should all follow Canada's Food Guide - certainly eat much more fruit and vegetables and stay away from fatty foods. You really will look better and feel better from doing so.

Number Four:

Take care of what you put on your skin. Why? Another factor of getting older is that your skin becomes much more sensitive. Things that you put on it can cause more harm and reaction than it did before. Use products on your skin that are appropriate for your skin type, made with quality ingredients.

So I hope these skin care tips help you look after your skin for longer!

I look forward to connecting with you and if you have any questions for me on anti-aging skin care, and would like further advice on keeping a younger and fresher look, please contact me via any of the methods listed in the "About the author" box below, ask your question, and I will be back with an answer for you !
