Architectural Design Is In The Details.
Architectural design is in the details
Architectural design is in the details. Decoration can be a frivolous term for flowers, candles, lighting and more. But the real basis of any celebration, the one thing that will set the tone for the day is the architecture of the venue.
Celebrations are held in a variety of venues. Generic rooms can be embellished to create character and reflect the personalities of the people hosting the party, wedding or conference, however using architecture in the design of the event takes the party to a new level.
When you enter a space where the windows and doors are surrounded by hand-carved stone frames and the building has been created with golden toned stone quarried in Colorado, then the first impression is entirely different. By bringing color into a space, such as warm honey paired with vibrant red, then the venue may become more reminiscent of another world, another era or even another country.
Think of the effect when chandeliers diffuse light over the room, filling the space with warmth. Different eras employed different decorating techniques. Some of the most copied designs include Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, Modern and Post Modern.
The building itself can be used for more than atmosphere. Featuring arches or columns in photography can create a vintage look for wedding pictures. So many emotions can be evoked by a simple arch, gas lamp or painting.
The style will dictate what additional layers of details you might want to add. Soft romantic flowers may serve to contrast against stark silver and white architecture, or may enhance the style of a Romantic era wedding.
Candles are another element that can enhance the space. Whether you decide to use pillars of different sizes for the candles, or to employ candle holders, this can help soften a room and create a mood.
Think of architecture as a beginning. It is the first thing you notice when you arrive at your venue. While people may notice things consciously or sub-consciously, details are absorbed and indicate a lot about the event about to take place. Each detail of the architecture can enhance your event. At the end of the day, it's clear that the design of a place is held in the details.
