Are Medical Doctors Are Getting More Professional?

People typically complain about doctors these days that they are getting more materialistic and do not want to spent more time with a patient

. They simply dont like to talk about patient problems detail they just make their analysis by listening to the symptoms from the patient and then give the medicine accordingly. Most of the people do not like this approach and so they complain. Basically a patient wants to discuss its issues and be discussed by the doctors. It is true that many doctors are getting more and more practical in their field and this approach turns them in to materialistic later on.

However, there are doctors who are not following this approach because they know the importance of communication skills with respect to the patient. If a doctor deals with his/her patient pleasantly and discuss ailment matters very carefully in order to satisfy the patient then it is called positive approach. Many doctors adopt this way and they tell the patient about their health condition but in a way that they shouldnt panic. Previously a huge number of doctors were ill mannered and do not like to answer patients questions. They just required trust from the patient or else they will not discuss the matter.

These kinds of doctors are still in the market and making money as well through their some forceful psychological tricks to make the patient say yes to them. But now the trend is changing, professional doctors are moving from this old system and prefer proper consultation before treatment. Although they have some consultation charges but it satisfies the patient very much. They even provide their personal cell phone numbers on their prescriptions so that in case of any emergency or problem related to treatment patient can call them. Consultation through email is also happening but it takes more time than phone call but it is a detail oriented procedure in which the doctor answers every question in detail.

This is correlated with the qualification and the institution of doctor too as prominent institutions teach patient dealing skills to their students. The professions which are closer to the patient like pharmacist who guide the patients for the medicine are also taught communication skills in order to deal with patients. Masters in pharmacy is the most advanced degree of this field and after that a well prepared pharmacist ready to take the charge makes difference in any clinical office. Similarly the nursing profession is also the most closest to the patients which require more attention regarding the communication skills.

Best medical colleges offer nursing scholarship for the deserving candidates and give them all the skills which make them a good and competent nurse. In most of the students these skills develop after the bachelor period such as after masters in nursing as communication skills are more concerned with personal growth. It is true that public dealing skills improve with practice but in case of professionalism skills are first taught and then can be practiced but students take time to adopt them as everyone is not the same.

We knew that we would have to work extra hard in order to be able to study science A levels and then to go on to a good university.
