Are Photo Books The Best Way Of Recording Your Memories?
Everyone has at one time or another had a clear out of their cupboards to find an
avalanche of scrap books and photo albums that offer a window into memories long forgotten. As you look back over those photos and prints and remember times gone by, the only real regret tends to be the quality of the photographs. Dog-eared and fuzzy, these memories aren't protected in quiet the way we would hope, but in the digital age there is no reason not to preserve your photos for generations to come using a plush photo book.
The photo book is a fairly recent development in photo development and publishing. It uses design software to produce a personalised and impressive-looking showcase for your photographs and their accompanying stories in a professionally bound book. Unlike your tatty old photo albums, it need not be hidden away in a cupboard, only to ever surface when distant relatives come to visit. Your shiny book of memories can take pride of place on a mantelpiece in the same way a family portrait or favourite ornament would.
In many ways, a photo book can act as a family portrait; a representation of the things your family have achieved or done together. It can also be a wonderful way to display wedding photos and makes a great gift for friends or loved ones.
Photo book publishers use up to date technology to ensure that their products are of the highest quality. The personalised submission service allows the customer to tailor the album to their specific tastes, with different colour schemes, image sizing and styling and the option of big titles and subtitles. Some of us may not have the artistic flair to create our own artsy scrapbook of memories, so this would appear to be a practical and professional-looking alternative.
With digital cameras now becoming incredibly advanced and increasingly affordable, there is no reason why we shouldn't look for the perfect, highest quality way of displaying our photographs to friends and family. Too often we take holiday photos and leave them buried away in a folder on our PC, only ever to be viewed on a screen. There is no substitute for having a tangible memory; a physical photograph album that can be passed on through generations. And with the high quality binding and finishing techniques used to create today's photo books, these albums will actually survive to be perused over by grandchildren and who knows, maybe even their grandchildren!
