Are Washing Machines Over Complicating Themselves
People don't think of the washing machine as a modern-day convenience anymore because they have been around for so long now
. This fantastic machine has come a long way since it's first creation but now the manufactures could have taken technology too far! Are washing machines over complicating themselves? That may be a question many customers are asking themselves these days. As technologies increase it is getting harder to figure out how to work equipment any longer.
When it was all about pushing a button or turning a knob almost anyone could run a washer but today everything is computerized and some people just don't understand. And don't think the manual will always help you out either. You look through to find the parts not in German or French, but English, and start looking to see how to turn the machine on. Finally you come to the index, cross-reference the page and off you go. If you are lucky the instructions are good and your problem is solved, if not, it's back to the drawing board.
Now maybe the scenario above is a little far fetched but the point is to show that things don't need to be so complicated to be good. The washing machine is there to wash clothes, rinse, and wring the excess water out. And unless someone can invent a machine that will lift them out and place them in the dryer, that is all that is needed.
The machines we have today are wonderful compared to the first ones. Of course the early machines were hand operated until someone invented a machine that ran on gasoline. After these came the commercial steam-driven washers. It wasn't until the 19th century that washers for homes became popular. It is really, two devices in one. It washes and extracts water. Before the modern term became well known it was in fact called a washer / extractor.
Today washing machines come in many varieties. Some load from the top while other load from the front, and there is always a debate about which is the best. Washing clothes used to be considered "woman's work", but today there are stay at home dads and even children that pitch in to help with the laundry.
The bottom line is that families want kitchen appliances that gets the job done without being over complicated to operate. When purchasing one, be sure and have the store sales person walk through the operation of the unit with you before hand. This will save you lots of frustration once you get the unit home.
If the instructions appear clear and you feel the machine is easy to operate then you have probably made a wise choice for you and your family. Washing machines are an important part of our daily lives so be sure and find one that suits all your needs without needing any complicated programming of buttons
