What do I mean by copycat network marketer? I believe that we all start off as copycats. When we first get into MLM we have hopes and dreams of being financially free and owning our own successful business but we have no clue where to begin! I believe that only following others throughout your career without setting yourself apart as someone different in MLM will never make you a leader and leaders are the ones who make the big bucks in this industry.

When I say be different in MLM, I do not mean that you completely go off on your own, coming up with your own untested, untried ways of doing things. I also do not mean that you shouldn't learn from other successful network marketers and become a good student. I believe it is imperative in the beginning of your MLM career to listen to those who really know the basics, who can help get you into the right habits and can point you in the right direction!

I am talking about the rest of your time in MLM, after you know the basics, you have had a little bit of success already and you want to take your network marketing business to the next level. This is the time to get creative, try new marketing techniques and learn what works uniquely for your business, setting yourself apart from the crowd. When you do this you will emerge as a leader in your company and in the MLM industry. People will see you as a very valuable person, seeking you out to join your business. This is because people who have hopes, dreams and ambition are hungry for leadership. There aren't many who will put themselves out there, possibly failing many times but picking themselves up each time, and working hard until they put the right marketing formula together to make their business excel. Most are afraid to do this and will be a follower to avoid any type of pain.

What areas of your business can you be different in MLM? Are there better ways to follow up with prospects, more effective ways of training your downline or easier ways of prospecting for leads? Can you put together an attention grabbing, information packed business blog to attract new network marketers or successfully utilize the internet to market effective marketing campaigns that really drive business your way? The number of ways to set yourself apart from others is endless.

The point of this article is to get you and to your business builders into leadership mode! You have to communicate the way you are growing your business to your downline organization and to potential business builders. This includes the basics that any successful network marketer needs to know to grow their own MLM business and how to be different and creative themselves! You want to be sure they know that others need to emerge as leaders and they can't be copycat network marketers or worse yet, depend on others to grow their businesses!
