Affiliate marketing is not easy, no matter how many people want to convince you otherwise

. If you want to be successful in this business, in the beginning you are going to spend countless hours honing your craft, so be prepared to put in a lot of time learning the ropes. Eventually, once you have a good grasp of what's going on you'll be able to cut back a little, but most people believe they are going to come into this world, and 48 hours later make 10 million dollars and retire.

I'm not saying that this is impossible. I personally don't believe anything is impossible. What I do believe is that it is very improbable. This dream, although a really nice one, is more likely to set you back in your affiliate marketing career. And the reason it is going to set you back is a simple one. When you come in this game looking for some quick cash requiring as little work as possible, you tend to stay stuck in the mode of thing for a long time to come. It is only those who feel truly passionate about this business who will rise up from the get rich quick attitude and begin to build a serious business with a solid foundation.

So how exactly do you know if you are passionate about affiliate marketing anyway? This is a really simple question for those who are truly passionate about this business. So if you don't feel like you can answer this question at this very moment then it's very much a possibility that you need to start looking for other ways to make a living.

If you are passionate about affiliate marketing, it rules your thoughts. You eat, breath and sleep it. When your friends are going to the movies you stay home to take a webinar on traffic generation. When everyone else in your house is fast asleep enjoying their dreams, you're up late into the night writing articles for backlinks.

I can go on and on with a thousand and one more examples, but I don't need to because you already get the picture. So, if you don't share the same feelings being conveyed in this article, you probably need to give up and move on.
