If you are in aMultilevel Marketing Company also known as a MLM then you should have heard the word downline at least 50 times after the first 20 minutes after joining your company. Okay we may be being a little dramatic but this is a term that is used just as much as the phrase compensation plan. The definition of a downline is: the structure used by some companies as a part of their overall marketing strategy. A downline is the people that join the company via you. They are your team of people that have talked to you and saw the same potential in your MLM that you saw and decided to join and be apart of your team. In the dark ages before the internet it was difficult to build a downline. Then you had to make a list of all the people you know, friends, family, neighbors and talk to those people about you business opportunity and see if they were interested in joining. Nowadays people like us ((yes you included)) have the wonderful bliss of modern day technology and that our friend is the internet. This makes building your downline a little bit easier.

So why does the internet make building your MLM downline easier?

Well first think about it. The internet reaches people all over the world and with that ability you have the opportunity to reach a massive amount of people. That in return means your will be able to reach a large amount of people who are like minded individuals and are doing network marketing just like you. This spares you from chasing down your friends and family trying to get them to join your business opportunity that they aren't interested in! And it also gives you the chance to talk to people who are already looking for opportunity to be entrepreneurs. This can potentially grow your downline into the thousands just by finding people who are trying to find the same financial freedom you are looking to find.

Your upline may not be telling you to go to the internet to grow your downline.

They may still be telling you the same dated techniques of tell 3 people who in return will tell 3 people and then BOOM magically you've made it to the top of you company. Yeah we tried that strategy too and it didn't quite work out like that. That is why we came to the internet (just like you) to see how we can grow our business and truly be successful in our MLM. This is where you will be able to build your downline and reach your financial goals. Just know that just like anything else you have to learn the proper way to market on the internet. Your downline will not just grow over night you have to be ready to learn and grow as a leader before you can lead a team. We know you want to build that downline that your upline and MLM company showed you and you can, you just have to have the proper knowledge on how to do it!
