Are we swimming in the wrong direction?

Are we swimming in the wrong direction?

Are we swimming in the wrong direction?

I promised myself that i won't watch football for a few months, but, the thought of watching liverpool get thrashed by Everton was too much to resist, hence,i watched that one game.

But,right now,i can almost see the very same Liverpool fans laughing at our plight.

The reason for me not watching football is simple,Manchester United.I'm a United fan to boot,i won't a say a word against them, and even though this note might be a contradiction of that very thing,i hope you can bear with me for now.

Sir Alex announced that Rooney wanted to leave United at the start of the season itself,as,Rooney felt that United had a lack of ambition.

This is a situation Sir Alex has found himself in on several occasions, though the issue wasn't made public before,or the public wasn't as stupid as it is these days.

Back in 2001,Jaap Stam,a former united CB released his autobiography which went by some name i seem to have forgotten, but, well,in that autobiography,he made allegations about several United players and also, accused Sir Alex of trying to sign him without PSV Eindhoven(his former club)'s permission.

What did Sir Alex do? Sell him.

Now,many people would say this was rash, impulsive, and rather naive decision, but,he seemed to have got it right that time as united won the league in that season and the next.

Now,this isn't the situation Sir Alex finds himself in right now,as,Rooney hasn't accused any of him team-mates of anything,he has simply gone on record indirectly saying his team-mates aren't good enough.

This is the kind of situation Sir Alex is good at,back at the start of the 2007-2008 season,Heinze left United, after publicly announcing his desire to play for liverpool,as he felt this United team weren't good enough,Sir Alex didn't let him go to Liverpool, but, did sell him anyway to Real Madrid, where he didn't really achieve anything.

Next,we can go back to the 1995/1996 season, when the 1990 batch of 'Fergie'sFledglings' finally turned up and several top players likePaul Ince,Mark HughesandAndrei Kanchelskis, and didn't buy anyone in the transfer window, this has a striking resemblance to this season, this team which in Sir Alex's words has 14 under 22 players in it,there are several websites which say a new bunch of 'Fergie's Fledglings' are about to take the premier league by storm, the new bunch being,Chris Smalling,Rafael da Silva,Corry Evans,Darron Gibson,Gabriel Obertan,Davide Petrucci,Mame Biram Diouf ,Javier Hernandez,Federico Macheda,Danny Welbeck,Johnny Evans,Fabio Da silva,Ritchie De Laet.

Nani has matured into a fine player already, hence,he isn't part of the list.

But,these players with the growing experience ,ability of Valencia(Don't gimme the he won't be the same player bullshit),Fletcher,Ferdinand,Vidic,Berbatov,Carrick, and maybe, just maybe Rooney is a deadly combination.

These players will hold united in good stead for a long, long time to come.

Even without Rooney staying,we look like we have a team for the future, which is what Sir Alex stressed on in an interview last night:http://www.espnstar.com/football/champions-league/news/detail/item518108/Rooney-saga-will-end-by-Thursday/

His example of the cow is much like Mourinho's example of the 3 types of eggs ,just before he left.

I don't even want to think about Sir Alex leaving.

Frankly,i think it's this or that,Sir Alex leaving,or Rooney leaving.

But,if anyone can change Rooney's mind,it's Sir Alex.

I've just typed whatever came to mind,it's all very dis-organized,bear with me.

No matter what happens today,as long as Sir Alex stays,we will be back, not this season,i didn't have much hope for this season,Next season? Not very likely,we will have to replace Giggs,Scholes,Neville, next season,so,i'm gonna hope we win the league after 2 seasons.

At this point i'd like to point out that our Youth Team,Reserves have been in the top 2 in their respective leagues for the past 4 years,so,we have nothing to worry about, considering the future.

We just have to get them Glazers out.

Now,anyone in the right frame of mind wouldn't questions whatever decision Sir Alex takes today, after his meeting with Rooney.

Sir Alex is,Sir Alex was,Sir Alex will always be the best manager in the world, whatever the decision,i'm going to accept it.

I hope you all also accept the decision.

Glory,glory,man united.

Love United Hate Glazer.
