As the saying goes, behind every great man is a great woman

. When applied to football, the saying should read that behind every football team is a devoted team that runs the football operations. These men aren't the coaches and instead are made up of a group that works as much off the field as on it. They may not get the glory, but they are definitely an important part of the equation. Fans with Arizona Cardinals tickets every season may not know about their hard work yet enjoy the fruits of their labor every season. Meet a few members of the team below.

Rod Graves, General Manager: For any team, the general manager is perhaps the most visible figure in football operations. He works closely with the coach to create the team and often makes many of the draft day decisions. For the Cardinals, that man is Rod Graves. He has been in the National Football League in some capacity for more than a quarter of a century. The Houston, Texas native didn't start in the NFL, though, because his first football job was as a regional scout for the USFL Philadelphia Stars in 1982. Two years later, he entered the NFL by taking the same position with the Chicago Bears. In 1993, he was moved to the Bears' Director of College Scouting and then the Director of Player Personnel in 1994. He has been with the Arizona Cardinals since 1997, first as the Assistant to the President at later as the Vice President of Football Operations.

T.J. McCreight, Director of Pro Personnel: McCreight has been with the Cardinals since March of 2009. McCreight's career began in the college ranks as the receivers coach for Oberlin College in 1993. Prior to that position, he had played tight end at Liberty University in Virginia. In 1994, he became the defensive line coach at Delaware State University. He started his NFL career in 1997 as part of the Baltimore Ravens' scouting crew. He became the Cleveland Browns Director of Player Personnel in 2005.

Steve Keim, Director of Player Personnel: Keim is a longtime fixture in Arizona, and he is an integral part of the scouting team. Keim played guard at North Carolina State, where he graduated with a degree in communication. He played briefly in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins in 1996 and also in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos in 1997. He began working as a coach for his alma mater soon after and was eventually their liaison to the NFL. In 1999, he joined the Cardinals as a regional scout. In 2006, he became the Director of College Scouting, and he was promoted to Director of Player Personnel in 2008.

Reggie Terry, Director of Football Administration: Terry left the college football ranks to join the Cardinals as their Director of Football Administration in 2007. It wasn't his first stint in the NFL, as he was also an intern with the New York Jets back in 1997. He was with Syracuse's football program from 2000-2007, working his way to Associate Director of Athletics for Football Operations. Terry also played linebacker at Syracuse.
