Army Special Forces - Do You Have What It Takes?
The Army Special Forces, affectionately and respectfully known around the world as the Green Beret
, are admired and feared as an ultimate fighting and rescue force. Skilled, precise and deadly, Green Beret soldiers and Navy SEALS train harder than anyone to succeed in today's unconventional warfare arenas. Today's combat environments are constantly changing, as are the weapons and technology involved, making the expertise and talents of Green Berets more important and necessary than ever. Do you have what it takes to qualify?
If you are female, the answer is, "No." As much as women may want to join this prestigious fraternity, they simply do not have the physical capabilities or the aggressive tendencies required to become a successful member of this unconventional combat team. For women who wish to become a part of the U.S. Army, there are hundreds of career opportunities available, complete with free training and excellent benefits. For those young men who wish to match themselves against the challenges of Army Special Forces training, they must be willing, ready and able to prepare themselves both physically and mentally.
Army Special Forces/Green Beret Training
Army Special Forces/Green Beret training prepares candidates to be ready to do whatever it takes, wherever it is required, in a manner that is both efficient and effective. Army Special Forces/Green Beret training covers more skills than any other military training. As a Green Beret, candidates are trained in demolitions, intelligence, survival, hand to hand combat, offensive raids, weaponry, foreign language, and search and rescue missions in jungles, deserts, mountains, arctic regions, waterborne areas and inner cities.
All of this is in addition to the traditional Army training that candidates receive in drill, military history, etiquette, and policy, and specific job skills, whether it be as an electrician, a pilot, a medic or a dog handler. There is, perhaps, no job that the Army cannot train you for, as you earn your salary and benefits package. More than a traditional job, even within the Army, Army Special Forces members are required to be at the cutting edge of every aspect of their job.
The New Age Of Army
Instead of the historical call for dutiful obedience, being a successful Green Beret means being a creative problem solver, a skilled negotiator, a weapons expert, and having the ability to go behind enemy lines to recruit, train and arm friendly guerilla forces. Army Special Forces are active in humanitarian efforts as well as unconventional warfare, expanding the range of necessary skills, knowledge and ability to the limit of human potential.
To qualify for Army Special Forces training, candidates must be in peak physical condition, adaptable, intelligent and creative. These are not simply march, drill and shoot efforts. The Army Special Forces are a deadly, elite fighting force, an educational and supportive humanitarian force and a loyal team of dedicated professionals that require innovative thinking and technical precision. There is no greater challenge and no greater reward than to be a member of the Army Special Forces. The only way to discover if you have what it takes to join this elite fraternity is to put yourself to the test.
