Yesterday I visited the most popular daily in Swaziland, The Times of Swaziland, and wanted to know their rates in their classifieds. It wasn't very expensive but I wanted to know if it would benefit me paying for an advert with them. I was worried because I have used this daily to market some of my products and services and was disappointed at the results. In fact, the lesson I got was that marketing in the daily is not the ultimate or it doesn't always work.

I therefore opted for article marketing simply because of the following:

Article marketing is web based and the market that I want to attract can most efficiently be lured into my services right here online.

The distribution of the magazine is not only electronic, but also downloadable right here online.

Saving on costs but spending some time writing articles seem to be a sustainable option of marketing to me.

Times change and those that don't succumb to change often get eliminated and are soon forgotten. There is no way online Magazine publishing, that is so popular today, couldn't have come to Swaziland. The only magazine that has been prominent in the country is The Nation, which unfortunately doesn't have a website yet.

SOFT, the magazine that started in July 2010 is ready for download to anyone. It is based on online entrepreneurship and the optimizing of cell phone usage. I chose to differ by not addressing political issues, news and current affairs, like many publications in the country.
