Atlantic Toyota and Toyota of Huntington Appreciate Ideas for Good'
Atlantic Toyota and Toyota of Huntington dealerships may be spreading "Ideas for Good" thanks to the new campaign created by Toyota Motor Sales.
Atlantic Toyota has learned the campaign is serving as a way for Toyota to let the public know about how the automaker has been using technology developed for its vehicles to assist other areas of society. The campaign is also open to consumers to participate and add their own ideas to do some good.
This new initiative allows people to dream up new ways of using Toyota technologies to solve problems or make improvements in any sector. Toyota has listed five technologies that may be repurposed for other uses on the website www.toyota.com/ideasforgood, where consumers can learn more about the project and submit their own ideas.
"We're sharing a side of Toyota that many are not aware of and engaging the public in a way we've never done before," said Bill Fay, group vice president of marketing for TMS, in a press release. "We're shining a light on some of our revolutionary technologies, which have been used to improve people's quality of life, in order to encourage the public to help us identify the next big idea for good.'"
Atlantic Toyota wants people to know that submissions are being accepted through February 28, 2011. All submissions will be evaluated by judges and winners will be invited to join a design session and present their ideas.
The five technologies people may choose from include Total Human Model for Safety (T.H.U.M.S.); Solar Powered Ventilation System such as the one available in Toyota Prius Long Island vehicles; Hybrid Synergy Drive; Advanced Parking Guidance System; and Touch Tracer.
Atlantic Toyota and Huntington Toyota may have some customers who are going to participate in the Ideas for Good and wish them well in their endeavors.
