The expansion of the mining colony threatens the continued existence of a local tribe of Na'vi-a humanoid species indigenous to Pandora. The film's title refers to the genetically engineered Na'vi-human hybrid bodies used by a team of researchers to interact with the natives of Pandora.

Jake and Neytiri are faced against the evil mining company and the leader of the human forces, Colonel Quaritech. Jake and Neytiri fall in love and it is up to jake and Neytiri to protect the Hometree and the Na'vi from destruction.

Whether you loved this movie or not, there is one thing for certain: the hot item for Halloween in 2010 will be the Avatar costume! Both children and adults will be dressing up as their favorite Na'Vi characters and the costumes are truly fantastic.
