If you want a seaside break, then Aberystwyth is the place for you. It is a unique Victorian town settled between hilltops and two beaches which look over Cardigan Bay in west Wales.

The promenade is a great place to sit and take in the views whatever the weather and a great stretch of path for a walk while taking in the sea air and views. Something of a favourite of mine is the large swimming pool on the promenade which in summer is filled with families having fun. As in the winter there is good chance of seeing the hilltops covered in snow and the tallest mountain in Wales; Snowdon as I would probably pass on the outdoor pool.

The harbour was once one of the most visited in Wales with people bustling through the seaside area, were many visitors still come to sample numerous cafs, bars, and restaurants including, Chinese, Indian, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

The Dolphin boat trip is defiantly one for the kids, they show as much as the marine wildlife as possible but they focus on the bottlenose dolphins as they are fantastic beautiful animal to see especially when you lucky in seeing them swimming up close.

There is a castle ruin to visit and gain more knowledge of Aberystwyth, this can be seen for miles as it is situated on a hilltop and once up there you can see some of the most glorious country side in Britain.

The railway climbs the hill top up constitution hill, this is something of an experience and they travel every few minutes. At the top there is a cafe and you can sit and take in the breath taking views of the beautiful sea, harbour and mountains of Snowdonia.

Devils Bridge Falls is a fantastic piece of scenery for you to enjoy, stopping and eating in the Tea room and buy named items at the gift shop, so you never forget the visit.
