to the ER. I recieved 2 bags of Intravenous therapy & some medication for the nausea. I was sent for a Ct scan to rule out appendecitis. Later I was told it was food poison and they wanted me to be admitted for further evaluation, which I declined. ( thats another story to follow )
The nurse asked what I had eaten and I thought it was the chicken stir fry. She told me not to trust eating chicken in this heat. I said it was prepared at a nice hotel. And she said "doesn't matter, don't trust it" scary stuff, huh?
The Hotel was more than willing to remburse us for our troubles which makes me think its happened before. So beware of where and what you eat this summer. Its now three days later and I'm still only ingesting fluids.
The hospital was another story all together, my brother brought me to the ER and I'm a nurse so we make great patients. I was so sick I needed to go directly to the bathroom. Well he couldn't get a nurse to come and help me out of there. We had so much paper work to fill out before I could be seen, I thought I was going to die in that hospital, and told my brother so.
When they took me back to check my vitals the nurses all seemed mad, come I know you don't like your job and are over worked but you must have picked the profession because you care about people, Because I know its not about the money. I arrived at that hospital at 11am and was not released until almost 10pm. The only nurse who was actually nice and smiled was the last one who discharged me, so thank you to her anyway.
