BP needs to be more humble

BP needs to be more humble

BP needs to be more humble

If BP were more humble about the oil spill, Americans might be more forgiving of the problems of this spill. Well "might" is the key word. We might understand how hard this problem is to solve. But BP is not humble about a disaster they are responsible for.

From all reports it is clear that BP is not an honest company and they are out to survive anyway possible. And if that means pitting the US against Britain, they will do it. The fact that they were crying already about how much money they have had to spend on the clean up is only an indication of how ugly this is going to get.

If all those British pensions are tied to BP then they should have thought of that when they were making decisions not to have a backup plan in case of an accident. The company did not care and were reckless. And RECKLESS is the key word here.

Mr. President, you are correct Tony Hayward should have been fired. He has about as much empathy for Americans affected by this as a flea has sucking blood from a dog. He is condescending when he said this spill was not going to be too big. What world is he living in. People understand the magnitude of how this will affect Americans, our land, jobs, and the wildlife.

BP is trying to make this problem not seem so big. Americans have a right to be angry. That is not arrogance. BP is arrogant in their reaction to the spill. They threw gallons of toxic chemicals on the problem to cover it up. That's arrogance.

I love Britain and don't want to see the British lose their pension but BP needs to dig deep in their pockets and get this problem solved. The American people bad mouthing BP is not the problem.

BP is the problem. If they didn't circumvent the rules this may not have happened in the first place. They lied to get the permits to drill that deeply. If BP had more respect for people and the planet in the first place this may not have happened. They clearly don't respect their fellow-man or the environment. It's all about business. BP is not dealing with this problem from the human aspect and it shows.

BP should take responsibility for their actions. Now they want to make Americans feel like we don't have a right to be angry. We are the victims here. They didn't have a backup plan for a disaster. Now it seems like BP is trying to stir up bad blood between the US and Britain. The depth of evil doing this company goes to, seems to have no bottom.
