. Bachelor and Bachelorette parties are part of the traditional parties that are held for the bride and groom. If you are the best man or the maid of honor, you will need to decide on the location of the party that you will be organizing.

The party locations can be at some of the following locations:

Upscale lounge or night club-going to a special place that the bride or groom have always wanted to go will create a memorable night

Favorite lounge or night club-picking a favorite spot is always safe, you will know what to expect and will be sure the bride or groom will have a good time

Activity based location-for those not into partying the maid of honor or the best man often have an activity based party like at a spa, theatre, camp grounds, or other location that the groom or bride would be able to participate in an activity of interest

House or apartment-when there is a small budget, few people live in town to attend, or a very casual environment is desired, a home is chosen for the bachelorette and/or bachelor party. Many apartments complexes have community rooms that be rented out.

Once you have decided where the party will be located, you can determine the estimated number of people that will comfortably fit at the location. Of course not everyone who thinks they will be able to attend will actually make it, but those who do attend should have enough room to comfortably mingle around. Sometimes not all the friends of the bride or groom get along, but are willing to put differences aside for the bachelor and bachelorette parties. There should also be ample room for those who wish to keep their distance, are able to so.

If there will be food and drinks, discuss the options with the lounge, nightclub, or community room manager regarding any special pricing that is available. Ask for suggestions for caterers. When alcohol is involved, there may be restrictions so it will be important to discuss the details of the party when looking for a location. When a home is offered for the bachelor or bachelorette party, ask how they feel about alcohol. At a nightclub or lounge, be sure that there will be enough staff on the floor to accommodate the party guests so they dont have to wait.

Consider transportation to and from the bachelor and bachelorette party locations. Making sure there is a designated driver, a car service available, providing a limousine, or being familiar with the public transportation that is available, drinking and driving can be prevented.
