This question is form a woman with chronic BV. I'm going to give you a little background info first. I am 24 and have been suffering from chronic Bacterial Vaginosis for 7 years. I have tried every prescription under the sun (metro-gel, clindess, Boric Acid, Flagyl, etc). All they seem to do is get rid of the infection till my monthly cycle comes then BAM, back to where I started. Also, with using the antibiotics I just end up replacing the BV with a yeast infection and then my monthly-period comes around and guess what? Yep, BV again! All my doctors can basically do is give me the antibiotics and wish me luck. I have stopped taking birth control pills (since that can cause infections) and have stopped smoking. I am at my wits end and I am just about to give up on finding something that works and just live with it. I'll be honest, I get it anywhere from 8-13 times a year and I'm sick of throwing money down the drain.

Also - if you use tampons, change them OFTEN. At least every 2 hours. More often than what the box tell you!

Last but not least - head over to WalMart and pick up a box of those new Yeast Balance Acidophillis pearl vitamins. These pills are probiotics for your reproductive system.
