Bathroom Features

One never knows what he is missing until he does not have it

. This can be true of bathrooms as well. For much of history, people were content to have their outhouses and to wash their hands in a bucket brought in from the well. That is not true anymore. Today, people want their bathrooms inside with many amenities attached to them. Not only do people look for certain things in their home bathrooms, they have come to expect business and commercial buildings to have those same features. Commercial bathrooms have many of the same things that home bathrooms do, but they also have some different aspects as well.

Commercial bathrooms come in all shapes and sizes, but most have the same basic features attached to them. They have water fixtures, such as the toilet and the sink. Additionally, they also have many types of dispensers. Dispensers can provide paper towels, soap, or even toilet paper. Bathrooms in businesses also usually have another aspect that home bathrooms do not have. They typically have stalls that provide privacy so that more than one person can use the bathroom at the same time.

Bathroom dispensers are one thing that commercial bathrooms have that most home bathrooms do not. While home bathrooms would have something that held the toilet paper, it is usually more open than the ones that commercial bathrooms have. Commercial bathrooms also have soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers. One of the big differences in these types of dispensers is that they are often automated. This enables people to avoid touching the place on the soap container that everyone else has touched or having to dig their wet fingers into a container of paper towels.

Technology has led to some major advances in commercial bathroom fixtures. Now, automation is an important aspect in many newer or more professional buildings. Toilets flush automatically; water flows and soap dispenses based on motion sensors, and a paper towel is provided as a person pulls out the one ahead of it. These automations help with keeping things clean, and it also helps with getting people through the bathroom more quickly.

Most things in life have evolved from what they were like in the past. Bathroom fixtures are no different. From the times of lugging water in from the creek to the days of moving your hands under a sink to produce water, much has changed. Technological advances in bathrooms have helped the flow of traffic move along more quickly as well as helping people acquire less germs from their time in the bathroom. As technology continues to advance, it will be interesting to see how commercial bathroom fixtures advance as well.
