Bcs National Championship Game Tickets - Who Will Play For The Title?

The 2010 BCS National Championship Game will take place on Jan

. 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. You're going to want to be at the game no matter who is slated to play in it, but especially if one of your favorite college football teams is selected to play for the title. As of Week 13, the field of possible National Champions has whittled down to a select few, with a couple teams clearly favored to reach the BCS National Title Game.

Florida and Texas, two undefeated teams with the No. 1 and No. 3 spots in the BCS rankings respectively, have the best shots of getting to the game at this point. But there are still a few games left to play, so a couple of other undefeated teams could make their way to Pasadena this year. Make sure you secure your BCS National Championship Game tickets online, because even if the game sells out-which it should- online ticket resellers can get you seats. Let's take a look at a few of the favored teams.

Florida - Right now the Florida Gators have the No. 1 spot in the BCS rankings and the AP Top 25 rankings. Last week they stomped on an overmatched Florida International University team 62-3 to give themselves their 11th win with no losses. Looking back on the season, we can see that the Gators have quality wins over teams like Tennessee, Kentucky, LSU, Arkansas, Georgia and South Carolina. One thing that Florida is missing, though, it a quality win over a non-conference team.

However, they might get the chance next week when they play their ACC rivals, Florida State. While FSU is only 6-5 right now, they're on a two-game winning streak and they'll be fired up to play their rivals. After the Turkey Day showdown with FSU, Florida will take on Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Could there be a bigger matchup? The Crimson Tide and the Gators are both expected to be undefeated coming into the game, so the winner will likely secure for themselves a place in the National Title Game!

Alabama - Speaking of Alabama, the Crimson Tide are in a great spot right now, having finally overtaken Texas in the BCS rankings, securing a No. 2 ranking in Week 13 after an impressive 45-0 victory over Chattanooga. I suppose both Florida and Alabama decided to take this past week easy as they prepare for the last surge to the finish line.

The Tide will play at Auburn next week, and that should not be a pushover game, as the Tigers of Auburn are 7-4 right now and playing very well at home. Like we mentioned above, everything rests on the Florida-Alabama game. One team will have to win and one team will have to lose. One team will go onto the National Championship, the other will likely get the Sugar Bowl.

Texas - Texas, despite their No. 3 BCS ranking, still is more likely than either Florida or Alabama to make the title game because, if you think long and hard about it, either the Gators or the Tide has to lose at least one game this season when they play in the SEC Title Game. So either Florida or Alabama will fall in the polls, guaranteed.

Texas, of course, needs to win out the remainder of the season. They can do it by beating Texas A&M on Thanksgiving and then Nebraska on Dec. 5. Nebraska will be the bigger threat, as the Huskers are steamrolling through the last half of the season, currently on a four-game win streak.
