Beach Aerating To Control Bacteria

Many bacteria types found in natural waters can lead to water pollution

. As a matter of fact, aeration can be done to reduce to control the bacteria present in the Virginia Beach. Since the bacteria are not part of the species that should be present in water, they should then be eliminated as fast as possible. The bacteria can be eliminated in several ways.

In the beach water, bacteria are considered to be pathogenic, and hence are strictly anaerobic. In this case aeration is necessary so as to increase the amount of oxygen in the water, and during this process the bacteria is killed, hence good water quality.

In most cases, pathogens need carbon dioxide, nitrogen, ammonium and phosphorus among other nutrients for survival. However this process destroys the nutrients hence clean water.

Since majority of the pathogens need acidic environments for survival, beach aeration however, will reduce the rate of acidity in the water by reducing the PH of the water. This will also reduce the rate at which bacteria grows, and hence reduction of pathogens in the water.

It is a fact that the ultra violet rays from the sun can destroy bacteria. Since the ultra violet rays do not go deep into the water, this cannot be relied on since the sun only reaches the surface. Beach aeration will be essential in this case as it will also reach the water beneath.

This process creates a situation where the pathogens are then fed by the bacteria, oxygenating the water creates an environment where the bacteria grow. This reduces the rate at which the pathogens grow by killing them slowly. This process will however reduce the rate at which bacteria thrives, by taking the situation that the pathogens can be controlled.
