Goa is a beautiful beach destination of India and is thronged by numerous domestic and foreigner tourists throughout the year

. The neighboring states of Goa are Maharastra, and Karnataka. The geographical area of Goa is and is one of the smallest states of India.Goa is famous for its beaches.Goa has reasonably good infrastructures for beach tourism.It has a coastline of 131 kms along Arabian sea in the shape of splendidly located beaches like Anjuna, Vagator, Colva etal.

Goa is ideal destination for water sports activities like surfing, swimming, para-sailing,boating fishing, whale sighting cruises,snorkeling and others. Different parts of Goa offer different locations which are unique in certain ways.Panaji is the capital city of Goa and is situated on the beautiful Miramar beach. About 5 kms from Panaji is another splendid beach-Dona paula. The vistas offered by Dona Paula are heavenly. Endless blue sea makes the visitor spell-bound and profoundly affects the watcher. Panaji and Dona paula have all modern life facilities and is a combination of beaches with modern city life. As a peson heads for north from Panaji, the beauty of beaches increases and mesmerizes the visitor. Next stretch of amazing beaches is Calangute-Baga-Candolim. his is undisputedly the best streatch of beaches in entire Goa and is immensely popular among tourists. This group of beaches has finest views of beaches ,splendid churches, forts and adventure sports.This part is generally overcrowded in all parts of the year but overcrowding does not discourage the tourists to visit these beaches.

North to this stretch of land are beaches of vagator and Anjuna. These beaches are immensely beautiful and are favorites amongst foreign tourists. Domestic tourists generally do not visit these beaches. Vagator beach has chapora fort extensively shot in Bolloywood movies. The beaches of Arambol, Morjim, mandrem are further north to these beaches and this stretch of sand was the favourite destination of hippies in 1970s. One can view the combination of hills and beaches in this part of a Goa.This stretch is ideal for romantic walks, adventure water sports, beach views, good eating places and hotels/resorts, para-gliding (Arambol) kite surfing. These beaches has nice night life also. Morjim beach is named as turtle nesting beach of Goa as endangered olive Ridley turtles nest here.

Southern parts of Goa are also full of beaches like Bogmala beach. This beach is venue of world championship in sailing. It has sao jacinto island and good for various water sports. Then there are other beautiful beaches like Velsao, Arrosim Betalbatim, colva, Benaulim Agonda beaches. These beaches are beautiful and offer splendid views and water sport options.
