DEPRESSION

DEPRESSION. Consequences of Depression

Hello, I am Rod Morgan of The Depression Workshop.com

In the 1990s, I was diagnosed with clinical depression which I suffered for five long years. Eventually I found a set of tools which enabled me to turn my life around. Now, I am back on top again, enjoying myself and doing all the things I want to.

Now one of my passions in life is helping other people to do just the same thing. When people come to me with depression, a question I often think they could ask is, What are the consequences of depression and what can happen as a result of it?

Well, of course, depression can produce a crippling combination of consequences. Things such as -

- Disturbed sleep

- Tiredness and crippling fatigue

- That fatigue can produce a short temper which can have a devastating effect on our personal relationships, our family life and our work relationships

- The fatigue can also impact negatively on our immune system

- From there it is only a short step to illness. I remember I was diagnosed with a viral infection and with that viral infection I was off work for six weeks. Being self employed, that had a huge negative impact on the income into our household

- Being off work can have a negative impact on your career as well

- As indeed it can if you develop a reputation for being depressed.

- Another possible consequence of depression is increased use of alcohol or drugs.

- Also, we can experience reduced sex drive.

- One of the things I found most debilitating with my depression was a complete inability to think clearly and make effective decisions.

So, therefore, it is very important for anybody suffering from depression to seek professional help.

If you feel that you may be suffering from depression, or you know someone who is, I have produced a FREE SET of VIDEOS showing 7 KEY STEPS to BEATING STRESS, ANXIETY and DEPRESSION and you can receive your free video course simply by visiting our website at -
