Employment is not a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any given minute

. That being said, I took the liberty of taking as much time possible in weighing my options, work-wise. Simply put, I was waiting for the perfect opportunity, for that job that would be the envy of most if not all fresh graduates. Its not about being idealistic, its about landing a position deserving of all my efforts. I did not go through four years of college, pull one too many all-nighters to get the Best Thesis Award and miss out on many a drinking session with friends only to be employed in an unheard of, second-rate company in Toronto.

I never settle for mediocre, perhaps the main reason why I am currently manning the top rug cleaning company in Toronto. I am all about rolling with the big men, rubbing elbows with socials. No wonder I now assign crew members to do quality area rug cleaning in Toronto, big boss status if I may say. You wouldnt believe how many job offers I have turned down. No offense to those substandard companies, but a woman my caliber with beauty, brains and beyond to boast of would not resort to receiving minimum wage in exchange for maximum efforts. Dont get me wrong but I wont do area rug repair in Toronto myself, Id rather let my people do the so-called dirty work, like in my case now as top honcho.

How can I forget the first job offer from a gasoline company? They said Id be part of the advertising department but when I got there, they said the opening was for a gasoline crew member. The second was from a big department store. They fooled me with promises of being a fashion merchandiser but in the end, I was only to man one of the cashier counters. And the last turndown, as they say third ones the charm, I was propped to be a news reporter in a TV network. It just so happened that the network was still in the process of expansion and the reporter post wasnt up for the taking until after a year. The bad offers ended when the godsend company specializing in Oriental rug cleaning in Toronto gave me that so-called big break.

Realizing ones worth is not second nature to everyone. For me, it did not really come across as a big revelation. I knew what I was made of by the time my brain was developed enough, say, at five years of age if I remember correctly. Landing a position high up the ranks in this Persian rug cleaning company in Toronto is but a baby step. I am destined for great things, for world domination and for greatness that exceeds the limits of logic.
