Belice is a river in southwestern Sicily, 107 km long (3rd in the region after South Imera and Simeto) and with a catchment area of 964 km , one of further extension of southern Sicily. In its course through the territory of three provinces: Agrigento, Palermo and Trapani, affecting the cities of Memphis, Montevago, Camporeale, Partanna Poggioreale and Castelvetrano. Belice is formed by the union of two branches, in places Carrubbella near Poggioreale: Belice Destro (55 km) which was founded in Piana degli Albanesi, and Belice Sinistro (57 km), down from the castle instead Busambra.
