Benefits Of Fishing

First of all, fishing can be a great hobby that can be enjoyed solo or with another person

. Either way, it can be a great chance to just relax on the water. Fishing is generally a peaceful sport, where you wait for a fish to bite. All of this time is a great opportunity to just sit back and relax.

If you are fishing solo, the water is one of the best places to sort out your thoughts. When you're out there, no one is bothering you, and the only sounds you hear are those of nature. This is one of the best places for reflection.

Especially on the ocean where there is nothing around you but the water, you can really soak in the vastness of it and just enjoy being solo on the water for a few hours. If you are on a river, you can enjoy the soft sounds of the flowing water beneath you.

Even the quietness of a lake is a relaxing place to be. When the sun is rising on the water and you experience the warmth of the rays reflecting off of the water. There is not a more peaceful place to be, than with your pole at sunrise on a lake.

There are so many different types of places to go fishing, and each of them provides different catches of different species and sizes. Lakes and small streams offer small trout, rivers offer bigger things like bass and even salmon, and oceans offer the widest range of fish varying of all different sizes and species.

Fishing can be exciting because you never know what you're going to get. When you catch something new it's exciting, and when you catch something big you're very proud of your accomplishment and strength.

If you prefer to go with other people, taking your friends is a good opportunity to have some fun. Being outdoors with friends in the water, the only entertainment being each other can be the most fun and revealing times you will ever have.

This type of isolating situation really taps into your creative side and allows you to open up and crack jokes about anything and everything. It also gives you a chance to get away from your normal, everyday scene, and really get to know each other.

Fishing can also be a great bonding experience for parents and their children. Just like when you're with your friends, being in an isolated environment with your kid can be a great chance to talk.

Most kids and teenagers today are always hooked up too technology, whether that be the television, computer, ipod or cell phone; their eyes are always glued to a screen and you, as their parent, barely get their attention. Getting them out on the water is a great chance to get them away from all of that and really get a chance to have a conversation with them.

This can be an immeasurable benefit to your relationship. It gives you an opportunity to get to know your kid and it gives them an opportunity to know you. This type of experience is hard to come by, and fishing offers it for free.

Teaching also teaches patience, for both you and your child. It can be tough to sit there for hours without a bite, but it teaches that some things in life don't come quickly and easily and must be waited on.

Fishing provides a rare opportunity to teach your kid one on one that things like relationships take time, and you may have to wait a long time to find the right person. Or that frustrating things like school must be endured in order to get the reward of getting a job that pays good money. There are many life lessons that can be taught through fishing.

When you finally do get a bite, the reward of finally catching a fish brings about a great deal of happiness. It is a sense of accomplishment, knowing that you caught it, and you're patience finally paid off. It's good to know that all of that time was worth it-just like the other things in life that must be waited for.
