One of the greatest things about summer is the chance to enjoy a frosty beverage and enjoy some top-notch live music. Great Falls, Montana, has the perfect setting for you. The annual River's Edge Trail Blues and Brews is consistently named the best party in Great Falls, and has been for fourteen years now. Every year, some of the best restaurants in Great Falls offer up delicious food. Last year was no exception, with food being made available by The Breaks Ale House and Grill, The Old Skyline, and Stinky's Hellacious Hotdogs. We can expect more of the best food in Great Falls this year, too.

The party will be held this year on September 10 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight. You can find all the action at the Mansfield Convention Center and Margaret Park in Great Falls. For a $25 entry fee, you will be able to enjoy some of the best local beers from local microbreweries, as well as domestic drafts. There will be wine and non-alcoholic beverages available, too.

The headlining acts will perform inside the venue, but those that choose to enjoy the evening from the Beer Garden will be able to see the performers on a huge video screen that will provide a live feed. The acts last year included the Tommy Castro Band, the Insomniacs, and the 49th Street Blues Project. These are some of the best blues bands in the area, and they are gaining a wide following. This year's performers have not yet been named, but you can be sure that they will provide some amazing blues and rockabilly entertainment.

The purpose of the Blues and Brews is to raise money for the River's Edge Trail. Over the past fourteen years, more than $300,000 has been raised, which has helped to match state and federal grants. With this money, the park has been able to design and construct new segments of trails, which allows for greater enjoyment of River's Edge. You will know when you hand over your entry fee that your money is going to a fantastic cause. Bring along the whole family, and as many friends as possible. And, let's face it, you obviously know the coolest people, and a party can't be a party without the coolest people in attendance.
