Time has long passed since the first brassiere was introduced to support women's breasts

. They are still very much serving that function now, but the role has extended to an outerwear instead of simply as supportive underwear. Looking sexy with your bra uncovered by any other outer apparel? Why not?

You must have seen it at least once shown by some lady celebrities on TV or in the magazines, when a bra is revealed to accentuate and improve the look of the cleavage. Sometimes it is worn with a jacket or a see-through blouse, sometimes it is worn just like that as a part of a show business.

Do the women look good like that? Yes. Does the revealed bra make them sexy? Yes. Does the bra make them look cheap? No.

In fact, at times it makes us look elegant. Imagine yourself wearing an open or transparent dress on the top side. This allows your bra to be slightly revealed, giving you a sexy look, but the dress that comes with it gives you an elegant look nevertheless. Or perhaps you want to combine a black bra with a black jacket and a black pencil skirt? That will do as well.

One thing for sure is that the bra as fashion outer apparel will definitely fit to wear for clubbing.

Now to decide which bra is suitable for public display, you most certainly do not want to choose the grandma-type of bra. Instead, pick a bra with modern design that gives you a feminine and elegant look at the same time. For clubbing, a bra with edgy colors will be awesome. What about patterns? From a sexy, sophisticated look of zebra-print on your bra to polka dot, as long as you mix-match it well with the other outer apparels, you will end up looking gorgeous.

A concern that may rise up due to no outer top to cover your bra is that you have to feel as comfortable as possible with your bra. Does it sit well? Does it give your breasts enough support to prevent them from bouncing too much? Does it have a good perspiration absorbance? Is it the right fit and measurement for your breasts? It is important to make sure that your bra has all of these aspects. The right bra measurement prevents back pain, poor posture and breathing restriction. If you have these when wearing your bra, the discomfort will be more obvious than if you wear the bra underneath an outer top.

Also as important is to ensure that your bra is made from moisture-wicking material and the padding has perforations. These two things will promote more skin breathability as they will prevent moisture from building up in the cup that could possibly cause skin rashes or breast acnes.

So if you ever decide to wear your bra as an outerwear, go for the quality bras. Put comfort in your highest priority, and that includes the style you are comfortable wearing with.
