Once you have branded your product there will be no questions about your ownership. Think globally and invest in ensuring that people online think of your business in association with the product you want to sell, that can mean graphics, emailing, affiliate marketing and much more. Effective corporate branding online is such a hot topic that it is a primary factor in Madison Avenue contracts at this time.
Put a Face to the Brand
YouTube has provided entrepreneurs with a spot where they can improve branding for a pittance. If you dont get videos of yourself out on the Net you are missing a critical component of effective branding. Think, Justin Bieber. Yes, hes a huge brand that started there. Not everyone is willing to read newsletters, articles or blogs. Videos should be at least somewhat entertaining, direct and come across as honest. Pull out some of the artist in you, or hire someone if necessary, but be creative.
Write and Submit
Another highly effective branding technique involves writing. You can, and should, blog about your company regularly. If you are not a good writer, hire someone. Submit articles to the various article databases at least once a week and make sure that they all contain back links. You are establishing yourself as a cross referenced expert, and that helps to push your company name to the top of the search engine listings. Youve heard of SEO (search engine optimization), right? If not, look it up.
Constantly Reevaluate
Just because a branding technique is working this month doesnt mean it will continue to work six months hence. Keep up with your branding efforts and continue to adapt them as the market changes. Remember, branding is supposed to help you achieve a competitive edge, if what you are doing isnt providing that, change it. There are no set rules on what works and what does not.
