Facelift is considered one of the scarier procedures by many people. However these days there are so many different approaches to facial rejuvenation that most people will quickly find their comfort zone while achieving their desired results.

Facelifts now encompass a host of approaches to looking younger. Though I still do a lot of traditional, 2 layer open lifts with incisions in front and behind the ears, and increasingly popular is the Silhouette lift using suspension sutures under the cheek and neck skin to lift and tighten. This avoids surgery per se yet achieves a significant improvement. I usually perform it with the patient in a twilight sleep. I've coined the term "Cameo Lift" to mean a combination of suspensory sutures and any other allied procedures (e.g. Botox, Dysport, filler, eyelid tucks, etc.) which are individually personalized for a particular patients' desired outcome.

While some women seek to restore fullness and lift that they once had, many look for the kind of breasts they never had but always wanted.

Nowadays we think much more artistically in terms of breast augmentation. "Dimension" is the key term, more then "size". I always suggest a natural, proportioned look, but each woman's view of this varies. I am eager to understand the "look" the woman desires for herself. Photos and magazine clippings help.

Breast Augmentation used to be one of the more painful procedures plastic surgeons did. These days, post operative pain is all but eliminated due to using a "pain pump" which automatically delivers local anesthesia directly to the breast pockets, like a soaker hose, for 4-5 days. This avoids the use of a lot of narcotics which make people nauseated and constipated.

It is considered helpful to try on a range of implants in a surgical bra during the consultation. We often loan these implants to prospective patients so they can "test drive" them for a couple days.
