British Immigration Visa Regulations Becomes Easier For Non-eu Migrant Artists

In a development, which is likely to make all non-EU migrants artists a happy lot

-- more so those who could be having UK migration in their minds -- the UK Government had decided that from now onwards such migrants will not be subjected to stringent rules which may have crippled them before.

This development comes in the wake of an open letter, duly signed by a large number of the members of the arts group, which was sent a few months back to the nations Home Secretary. The involved members had vociferously argued that the system, which is points-based system, hardly does any good to the overall reputation of the nation -- specifically when the mega world event of the Olympics is just round the corner.

According to the available reports, and thanks to the fresh British immigration visa policy, these artists could have comparatively easier time getting visit visas for the country in question. The fresh visa regulations will enable them to land on UK soils to work even though they may not have to duly apply for work permit. These migrants will be entitled to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days -- provided they prove that that they possess an official invitation from a UK body.

Come April 6, 2012, and the new system will unleash a permitted duly paid engagements entry path even as the same will permit the artists turning up from the non-EU countries 30 days leave to land in the country although they will not have to sail through the somewhat tough and complex points-based system.

Besides, the British body, which may have sent an invitation to the artists in question, will not have to anymore apply to become a registered sponsor. In addition, it will also not be essential for the organization to maintain certain details, including the contact details of the artist, a copy of passport entry stamps, not to mention biometric data. It must be observed though that in case the invitation happens to be for a bigger duration, and for more than 30 days, the involved artists will have to duly apply, via the points-based system.

Meanwhile, a concerned person was quoted as saying that the fresh visa scheme was highly welcome even as it was something on the right track. He, however, advised London to further improve the situation, and make the restrictions less stringent the reason being some artists could be sent an invitation to lecture at, what he reportedly called, an art college, for an entire period.
