, is possibly The uk's most infamous criminal. Now with books films and even his own fightwear and MMA brand, Charlie Bronson has become an institution.
In 1974, he was sent to prison for seven years. In between then and today he has continually committed offences while in prison which have added significantly to his original sentence. He has now spent practically thirty six years in jail.
But that's all tabloid fodder, the real Charlie Bronson is a much more intense individual than that.
Charlie Bronson was born in Wales, Aberystwyth to be precise. Most of the research suggests that he had an unremarkable youth, it has been stated by several who knew him that he had been a smart well mannered boy, an individual who might stand up for the small guy. Obviously something somewhere along the line was the prompt for a modification in his character.
He wedded his first partner Irene in 1970, and they had his son Michael.

It's fair to say that many men and women appreciate and revere Charlie Bronson. Regardless of whether this is correct or improper is not for me to determine. However what can easily be said practically with no fear of contradiction is that Bronson's life and notoriety marks him out there as a distinctive character.
Now, at the age of fifty-seven, the question I find myself asking is, has age and regret finally eaten into Charlie's determination. I can not help asking myself if it could possibly now be the time for him to turn over a clean sheet, and spend his retirement years as a free man.
But, somehow, given his past and the character of the guy, I cannot see this occurring.
With books, films, and now his own range in high fashion fightwear, Charlie Bronson is almost an industry himself. Whether he ever gets to benefit from any of this in the future - well you feel that is largely down to him.
