Brooklyn Decker: About Her Modeling Career

Brooklyn Decker just turned thirteen in 2000 as she began taking modeling classes. Within a short time, she signed a contract with Evolution Models and Talent in Charlotte, North Carolina. She went through training and workshops to develop her modeling and acting skills. Brooklyn's natural talent landed her her first job with the Marilyn Agency, as well as the Click Model Management. She first modeled with a prom and formal wear designer, Mauri Simone.

Brooklyn Decker won the 2003 Model of the Year award at the Connections Model and Talent Convention. This especially prompted her popularity rise, and she was in frequent demand for magazine poses and interviews. Among many others, she posed for Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, ELLE Girl, Seventeen, and Lucire. Brooklyn also did advertising for American Eagle and Hollister. She endorses popular brands, such as Gap, Victoria's Secret, Intissimi, and J. C. Penney.

Brooklyn Decker moved to New York City in 2005, where she got her two biggest modeling stints. Within two months she was working with top brands Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret. As soon as she moved to New York, Victoria's Secret asked her to model for their swimwear catalogue.

Starting in 2006, Decker appeared in Sports Illustrated editions each year through 2010. The last year she was as the front cover swimsuit model. With other Sports Illustrated models, she rang the Stock Exchange Bell in 2008. She was a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman, where Letterman announced that she was chosen to be the next Sports Illustrated cover model. It was her "news of a lifetime."

Her perfect measurements, sultry looks, and bubbly personality continue to make Brooklyn Decker a popular model, known not only in the United States, but also throughout the world. Her modeling job is high stress with lots of pressures to keep up her slim figure. Decker said her dad, who has always supported her, has helped her keep a clear head and stay focused. Through his advice, Brooklyn has stopped focusing on what everybody expects her to be and to take care of her body. Obviously, the advice is working perfectly in her favor!

Currently, Brooklyn Decker is represented by Marilyn Agency.
