, I am sure you have heard the words social media, the new way of building your network marketing business. So, what in the world is social media and how does it help us?

There are many social media site exists on the internet. There is Youtube, Facebook, Digg, and so many more. You want to interact and share ideas with the people you meet on these websites. Create at least 2 accounts on one of these sites and find others involved in network marketing and start networking. These sites are free to join.

Positioning yourself as a leader is the key to getting people wanting to get to know you better. They will view your profile and really get to know you. The more people get to know you, the more that the trust will build. People join with people that they trust.

People love to share great information. So, if you saw something really meat you would tell your friends. The same thing happens online. When you create content that your friends find valuable, they will spread it to their friends. This will increase your exposure to the internet community in a positive way.

The last thing you want to do is come off as a salesman online. People don't like this and they will just ignore you if you do this. You must build a relationship first before ever trying to convince people to join you in your business. You want to position yourself as a leader and not a salesman.

The key is for people to view your profile; from here they will get to know you better. If they start liking and trusting you, curiosity will build and they will be wondering what that URL link on your profile is all about and they will be more apt to click on the website. This is where you start generating leads for your business for free and this is much more fun than cold calling. Better yet, you may even meet your new best friend.
