Most people know that Internet marketers can usually set their own hours and work whenever they choose to work. Many online marketers also work from home or out of an office space that they have leased. With the holidays in full swing, this is a busy time of year for those who sell, promote or market products and services online.

This leads to the question: Do Internet marketers work during the holidays?

When it comes down to it, whether or not an online marketer works during the holidays is completely up to the marketer. Some may choose to, while others may choose to use the time to spend with their friends and family. Here are some things to consider:

The Internet never closes. Just because there is a holiday or two in close proximity, it does not mean that people stop surfing the net or making purchases online. This means that people are still going to be visiting the marketer's website(s).

Since many people who work online set their own hours, they can literally decide not to work during the holidays, but that may mean missed income or a loss of sales.

Since all of the work is done on the Internet, if the marketer goes out of town for the holidays, they do always have the option of bringing their laptop with them or working remotely.

It also depends on how successful the person is. Those who have seen a lot of success over the past year might be a better position to take some time off, while others who did not see a lot of success might choose to work.

While the work hours of online marketers are not set in stone, a lot of thinking and planning goes into the decision of taking that time off or deciding to work.
