Inside the Ram, we often found ourselves wishing for a back-up camera, but that's easily rectified you can order one if you so desire. Rear passengers are treated to no fewer than four cupholders, and the rear seat flips up with ease, revealing ample storage bins underneath. Up front, opinions were split on the Ram's center-stack controls while the climate knobs are idiot-proof, our test truck's upgraded Alpine stereo's touchscreen interface left some wishing for more straightforward commands. As for the stereo itself, its built-in hard drive allowed us to rip our favorite tunes for easy playback, and we appreciated its above-average clarity; however, it lacked the full sound and hearty bass response we'd expect in a big truck.

Who Should Buy This Vehicle?
Ford's tagline for the 2008 Focus is "Where MP3s meet MPGs." And guess what? Sync really does work. If you live your life one MP3 at a time and score big with pricing incentives, maybe the 2008 Ford Focus is for you. But to us, this is an underachieving small car more fitting of the following tagline: "Good enough for government work."

Despite its low-slung roof line, the DBS provides impressive headroom, even for a 6-foot-3 driver, and good visibility on par with that offered by an Audi TT. Legroom is also impressive, with the eight-way power driver seat providing a wide range of adjustment. Sadly, the passenger seat does not adjust for height, which can make it difficult to find a comfortable position.

Visibility is excellent, thanks to large windows and skinny roof pillars all around. New electroluminescent gauges look good and are easy enough to read. A few trick storage compartments like the underseat storage in the second-row seats that also hides a fold-out tray with cupholders, mesh bag and console tray cover go into the "ooh, neat" category, but we probably would have been just as happy without them if the door pockets, center console and the rest of the cupholders were larger and more useful. Climate control knobs and buttons are large, simple and easy to use once you're accustomed to the setup.

Pontiac Vibe GT
In the past, it's been easy to overlook the Pontiac Vibe. The wagon has always been a superb all-rounder, but it's suffered from a star-power deficit; the previous-generation Vibe lacked the visual appeal of some rivals and the thrill-ride performance capability of others. Not helping matters is the fact that the wagon's corporate twin, the Toyota Matrix, enjoys an advantage when it comes to perceived reliability, thanks to Toyota's sterling reputation in this area. (Never mind that the Matrix and the Vibe are mechanically identical.) With the wagon's 2009 makeover, Pontiac aims to make the Vibe less chorus line and more leading man by endowing it with style and performance upgrades.
