CCTV Security: On Site Training

On-Site Training

On-Site Training

We also offer on-site training for our CCTV systems.

We train the relevant people that will be observing and monitoring the systems, in the sense of how to operate the system, how to block out areas that do not need to be recorded.

For example, if the wind is blowing the tree (if there is a tree in the shot), it can be blocked out so that the hard drive is not filled up by the CCTV constantly recording.

If there is a road behind and the traffic keeps coming past and starts the cameras recording, we can block that out.

We train the clients how to do that, how to actually go in and see how user-friendly the system is for them to be able to monitor.

We also have a twenty four hour team in place that is always there for any back up repairs, any servicing or maintenance, which will ensure that the system is running optimally at all times.

CCTV Deters Opportunistic Crime

There is a belief that CCTV security cameras deter opportunistic crime, where people take advantage of the situation on the spur of the moment.

Todays opportunist is tomorrows professional criminal.

If we can reduce the number of opportunities for easy crime, we can reduce the number of people becoming professional criminals.

CCTV cameras are also creating a vastly increased rate of conviction after criminals are detected.

Virtually everyone caught committing an offence on camera pleads guilty nowadays.

When people know that they have been video taped, they admit to the offence immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions Part 1

How do I choose the correct camera for my application?

Many aspects of the CCTV installation must be taken into consideration in order to obtain the correct performance levels for your requirements.

A high resolution camera should be considered where greater detail of the scene is required.

Choosing a more sensitive camera will improve the reproduction of the image in poorly lit areas.

A conventional camera produces a pale backdrop when an object is shot against a white background.

BLC (which is back light compensation) will counter strong light sources, retaining picture quality.

Concentrated light sources directed towards the camera (e.g. car head lamps) can be inverted by an optional peak white inverter or an eclipser function.

This has the effect of bringing detail to areas and making an object clear, that would otherwise be shadowed.

Why do I have a clear sharp picture in the day and it is out of focus at night?

This is due to the depth of the field of change as the light conditions change and can be easily overcome by the following set procedures.
