Calvin Gruneck - Aside from celebrities, there are everyday people that would like to have some negative content/websites from search engine links pushed very far down, if not buried in the major search engines. They might also develop a high volume of quality links that point to public profiles of social networks.

Now let's take a customer named Joe. Ten years ago, Joe originally had three negative links under his name pertaining to a Trademark case with a well-known company. Then at the beginning of 2010, 2 more corporations decided to each put a link from their websites to Joe's name to provide everyone with info about Joe and Joe's case. So now, Joe has 7 negative links under his name on the first page of 2 large search engines. These search engines only have room for 10 links per page.

Some specialists might tell you that their positive links will not let the negative links come on the top of the visible positions on the search engines. Some specialists might tell you that nobody can say when the negative links will be reposted and some might tell you both results.

Bottom line: The problem is with the corporations, for they never die. A corporation can keep reposting any negative links to your name that they want not only during your lifetime, but forever. So you will need to hire a (SEO) specialist to manage your Reputation on a monthly basis for the rest of your life. The funny thing is that a bankruptcy in America will only remain on your credit report for 7 to 10 years along with most judgments. Many court case trial results can be sealed. Forever is a long long time.
