Ryan said Pace will not start or receive extended playing time

, and will be a game-time decision.

"We gotta see how he is," Ryan said. "He did practice, he did have some reps today in the team nfl jersey period, so we want to see how he comes back from that."

Pace, who was limited in his participation, ran through positions drills with the linebackers before eventually working into an all-defense scrimmage during the portion of practice open to the media. He high-stepped on the sideline before working in for a play, moving gingerly through the drill.

On Wednesday, Pace made his first appearance at practice since the injury, participating in stretching drills only, but was listed on the injury report as not participating. He did not take part in practice Thursday, either.

Revis, who missed last week's contest against Miami, stretched with his teammates before doing his individual work. Revis is dealing with a strained left hamstring suffered in the second quarter of the Jets' win Sept. 19 against the New England Patriots.

Revis will stay behind while the team travels, and the goal is to have him ready for the Jets' game against the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 11. Ryan was encouraged by what he saw from his Pro Bowl corner.

"He was doing some individual work today and you're tempted. He looks so good out there you're tempted just to let him go but we're going to have to wait," Ryan said. "He never did anything as far as team practices or team reps or anything mlb jerseys else, and like we said, we're going to make sure that he's back and close to 100 percent before we put him out there."
