Can Chiropractic Care Save Lives?

Today I was sitting in the barber shop waiting my turn to get a hair cut

. And as Im flipping through an old issue of Golf Digest, I stumbled upon an article about a PGA golfer whose family suffered a terrible tragedy. The golfers wife, a 44 year old who had been suffering with migraine headaches, died after an adverse reaction to the medications she had been taking.

Unfortunately, stories like these are becoming all too common. According to published research, our current medical system accounts for approximately 225,000 deaths per year. These deaths include adverse reactions from medications, deaths from anesthesia, deaths from unnecessary surgeries, hospital borne staph infections, hospital acquired pneumonia, and other issues. It seems as though lately everybody knows of some family that has been affected by this (to some degree).

This leads us to ask a question of ourselves. Is there a potentially safer way to administer health care? Are there less toxic, less invasive ways to treat many of the common problems which we face on a daily basis? Can we at least admit to ourselves that we as a people are over-medicated? Can we at least acknowledge the effect that relentless pharmaceutical marketing has had on our health?

Chronic musculoskeletal problems (such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, herniated discs, and injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents, slips & falls, sports traumas and work related injuries) account for a large percentage of doctors office visits and emergency room visits. The ways these conditions are managed typically involve one drug after another. But are there better and safer alternatives than drugs?

Chiropractic care has been proven to be safe and effective for treating all of these conditions. Its safe because its non-toxic and non-invasive. Chiropractic care doesnt involve ingesting toxic substances (like medications) into the body. Theres nothing invasive about it, unlike surgery which is extremely invasive (which involves cutting into the body). But does chiropractic work? According to the published scientific research, chiropractic is extremely effective for both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Twenty million Americans use chiropractic care. Professional and Olympic athletes regularly use chiropractic to bounce back after injuries and to stay in top form for maximum sports performance.

Chiropractic care is a safer and often times more effective way to cure musculoskeletal problems. By choosing chiropractic over drugs, you can safe a life and enhance the quality of life.
