It is a well known myth that using only ab specific exercises will somehow give you flat abs no matter how fat you are. Does this work? Yes, but only for people who don't need to lose any stomach fat. So if this applies to you, then great! Otherwise first thing is first and losing the fat around your belly requires a much more complex and laid out plan than doing 100 sit-ups or crunches every day.

The first thing you need to do is get yourself eating the right foods on a day to day basis. Eating healthy only once in a while is not going to cut it. If you really want to lose weight so you can look and feel better you will need to change your relationship with food.

The real key to making this change is to find foods that are not only healthy but healthy foods that you will enjoy. It may not seem possible, but there are an unlimited amount of combinations of food and recipes in which there will be many that you do enjoy. It's hard to imagine not eating your favorite unhealthy foods all of the time, that's why it is important to replace these foods with ones that are just as enjoyable.


By using the correct exercises, it is very possible to lose the belly fat and keep it off. Full body exercises like the squat and deadlift are very important for burning calories and losing weight. The fat will start to shed if you get to the gym 3 - 5 days a week and to utilize the time as best as you can while you are in the gym.

In order to get the body you once thought impossible, use these tools and make health your new found passion in life. It doesn't come without hard work and a strong desire to succeed though. It is the actions that you take on a daily basis that will mold you into the shape that you want to be in. Make a plan and set aside time to make the plan work.
