Can Have... Will Have!!!
Why is it that whenever we are told we can't have something it makes it all the more appealing
??
Take the current Icelandic volcano eruption, plastered over every daily newspaper and on every single news program at the moment. The whole nation is more than aware of the mass disruption this magnificent force of nature has sparked, particularly within the airline and holiday industry.
Whilst I honestly do sympathise with all those people currently stranded abroad with no way of returning home for the next few days, I also feel a slight twinge of jealousy. I mean imagine being away in the Caribbean, or even the Canaries, at the moment where your holiday is coming to an end and you're already feeling depressed, you may even be dreading the thought of leaving that local you've sparked up a holiday romance with! Then in steps Mother Nature and answers all your prayers, you now have the perfect excuse to call work and tell them you won't be returning for your next shift, because you have a legitimate reason! Now do you understand my envy? Why o why didn't I book my holiday earlier so I could be that lucky one forced to spend a few more days in the sunshine?
Anyway, all this talk of not being allowed to fly has gone and made me more determined than ever to get myself a holiday booked. There are so many options I'm not even sure where or when I want to go I just know that I have to book something right now.
I do have some sense of responsibility so I will plan my holiday wisely. I am fully aware that Europe has been blessed with some of the world's best holiday destinations, but personally I don't have the largest of budgets and really want to steer clear of the Euro. I have done a little prior research over the last few days on how to bag myself a bargain holiday and think I have found the perfect solution. We are approaching the so called rainy season's in the Caribbean with many people too afraid to take their annual holiday during this time, just in case the rain dampens their fun. I however am aware that these rain storms generally come in short, heavy bursts and then life carries on as normal. I sense that this is my perfect chance to grab a bargain and to enjoy some glistening sunshine, sandy beaches and maybe a little bit of romance this summer. After checking my online banking I'm now off to my local travel agents to pick out the best
cheap Caribbean holidays that are on offer. Fingers crossed, I too will be stranded there for an extra couple of precious days.
