Can You Be a Cinderella?

Can You Be a Cinderella?
Every woman would be lying if she said to you that she had not thought about her dream wedding at some point in the last fortnight. They are all waiting for their prince charming to sweep them off their feet and take them to places they never knew existed. It's an ideal and a fairytale but is it beyond a realm of possibility that this one day could actually be them?
Meet Susie she's had to look after her disabled Mother and sister for the majority of the 21 years she has spent on this earth. Up until recently that was when they were both killed in a tragic car accident, Susie could bear to go on with life and considered joining her family at the pearly gates many times. The pain was getting worse and she eventually turned to drugs to numb the pain of her loss. But with any painkiller you eventually become used to it and it no longer has the effect you want it to have. This makes you go for a stronger drug in order to get that colourful glow over your eyes that gives you a sense of feeling as light as air and appreciating everything in the world as beautiful for a short time. This crave led Susie to Heroine and before she knew it she was stealing and pick pocketing to feed her addiction. Life could not get any worse for Susie and she was beginning to lose all hope. This was the girl who was on the top of her classes at school and was the prom queen type that every teen movie depicts so vividly, but the girl who could be seen in high school is a mere shadow to the one that looked up at a strange man getting out of his mustang to help Susie after she had fell down on a curb side.
Susie peered up at the man who stood as tall as an NBA player, with eyes devoid of hope and inspiration, and he grasped her arm looking into her eyes and realising something quite familiar. Susie realised the same thing the man pulling her up she actually knew, or in her case vaguely recognised from a different lifetime where she knew where her life was headed. Nick was the guy helping Susie to her feet and as he did so he recognised Susie from school but such was her state had to verify that it was her three times.
Nick was shocked, Susie had once turned down his attempt to take her out on a date back in high school and he could not believe the state that this once pretty and gracious girl had carried so well was in. The bruises on her arm from the injections were apparent and Nick made a promise to himself and Susie that he was going to get her life back on track and give her everything she ever wanted. Now Nick was a very successful lawyer in the city and wasn't devoid of the kind of money it took to get Susie into rehab. Two years down the line and Susie hadn't touched a drug since Nick divine intervention; she was now back working again as a PA for one of Nick's colleagues and was romantically involved with Nick. It wasn't an easy road and there were many moments that Nick thought he was fighting a lost cause but Susie had finally come round back to her former self, she had not forgotten the tragedies in her life but she had used them as a catalyst to move forward and rekindle herself with life. Nick was her knight in shining armour and he saved her from the fiery dragon that was going to ultimately end Susie's existence.
Nick and Susie went on to have three children and named the two girls after the mother and sister of Susie who tragically died. This really is a modern Cinderella story and if Susie has enough luck to find it there is no reason why any of you can't do the same.
