Can You Really Have It All?

Have you spent years working hard so that you can move up the corporate ladder and achieve financial freedom for yourself and your family

? And where are you now? Do you still worry each day about money, or are you where you need to be financially? I worked during the day and attended graduate school at night so that I could eventually get a better job and make more money. But more than ten years after obtaining my MBA I am still not financially sound. Why? A mortgage, school loans, and expensive child costs quickly add up so that most months we are left with little money in our account.And when you work for someone else what about the commuter expenses and the time you spend during your day getting to and from work (2-3 hours per day for me)? If you're one of the lucky few, your job is local and you have free parking or can walk to work so that commuting is not much hassle. But for most people, we spend several hours commuting each day and have high commuter costs as well.I should pack my lunch each day, but getting two small children ready and out the door to daycare, does not allow me for much time to pack a lunch for myself. The money I spend for coffee and lunch on a monthly basis also eats into my income. More than five years ago, I had my first child and have been trying to juggle my role as a mother and wife with managing the intense pressures of a corporate position. Just the other day, I received the dreaded call from my son's daycare telling me that my child was sick and needed to be picked up at school. Working in the city and dependent on a train schedule it took me several hours to get to the daycare, plus I had to cancel a day of meetings which my boss did not like.As a Mom, I want to be with my kids when they are sick, but when you work for someone else, you don't have the luxury of a flexible schedule and need to be in the office during a set time. Plus, there is no such thing as work hours of ONLY 9-5. I am consistently working nights and weekends and am tired of the endless work and lack of pay for the additional hours I work each week. Each day I spend less time doing the work I enjoy and more time on dealing with management issues and corporate politics.Several months ago, I made the decision to work for myself and make money online and it's been the best decision for me and for my family. For more than a year, I spent a lot of time and money researching different options on how to make money online. I finally found a training program where I learned about how to effectively run an Internet business and met talented people with a broad range of skills and backgrounds. My goal is to continue to increase the money I am making online so that I can quit my day job and be my own boss which is something I have always dreamed about. If an exhausted, overworked, wife and mother of two toddlers can find the time and energy to create a business online, don't you think you can too?
