Can You Use A Courier Company Without An Account?

When you need to have an LA courier make a delivery for you

, usually, the process is that you will call up the courier company that you have an account opened with, and have them make the delivery for you. If you don't need courier services on a regular basis though, there is a very good chance that you won't have such an account opened with a courier company yet. As such, you might want to know if you have the option of shipping with a courier company if you don't already have an account opened with them.

Whether or not you can ship with a courier company without first opening an account with them is a policy that it is up to the individual courier company to set. In most cases, there will be an option of some kind that will allow you to ship with them even if you don't open an account. This is far from a universal policy though, and you will certainly at some point encounter smaller courier companies that don't have any options for shipping with them without accounts. These are mostly smaller companies that do business with exclusively business customers.

The other thing to consider is that even if a courier company will allow you to access their services without first opening an account with them, what you are going to have access to is going to amount to essentially a reduced service offering. Even in companies that allow non account holders to ship with them, they don't allow them access to many of the special perks that account holders enjoy.

These mostly include ways that you can work with the company online, as well as the ability to not have to pay for shipments up front. Online order placement, specialized tracking services, and things like online inventory management are all services that are quite often only going to be made available to people that have opened an account with the courier company.

Opening an account with a courier company is not necessary just to ship something to a single client. However, for a company that has even a partially regular shipping schedule, there are an awful lot of benefits to be gained by opening an account with a courier company. Shipping without an account can be a good way to compare courier companies though if you're still trying to decide which one to open an account with.
