1. Vocal or quite cat?
Some cats can actually "meow" a lot and quite loudly too. If your home environment (and neighbors) can stand a vocal cat so go for it. If not, think twice. 2. Cuddly or aloof?

4. Long hair or short hair?
If you don't have a lot of time to devote to your cat, you may want to opt for a short haired cat breed because it requires less time for grooming. An adult long haired cat . although nice looking, requires a lot of attention in grooming and can take up quite a lot of your time.
